General notes on decorative sewing To enhance your own home textiles or garments your creative 2124 offers you a wide variety of fancy and decorative stitches. Create a greater variety of embellishments by combining different patterns, colors and sizes. Use specialty decorative threads to enhance the lovely stitching. Always use stabilizers under fabric when sewing decorative stitches. Properly stabilizing your fabric will help eliminate distortion of your decorative stitches. The following recommendations apply to all decorative sewing: Rayon embroidery threads give shiny, smooth stitching results and come in many colors and weights. The stitch length and width can be altered as desired. Your sewing results will be much prettier if your tension is properly adjusted. Presser foot no. 1 (for dual feed) and no. 2 (without dual feed) are recommended for decorative work. We recommend presser foot no. 2 for heavier fabrics.
