DIGITAL SOUND FIELD PARAMETER DESCRIPTIONS You can adjust the values of certain digital sound field parameters so the sound fields are recreated accurately in your listening room. Not all of the following parameters are found in every program. I DSP LEVEL Control Range -6dB - +3 dB Function: Description: This parameter adjusts the level of all the DSP effect sounds within a narrow range. Depending on the acoustics of you listening room, you may want to increase or decrease the DSP effect level relative to the direct sound. I INIT. DLY (Initial Delay) [P. INT. DLY for the presence sound field] Control Range 1 - 99 msec Function: Description: This parameter changes the apparent distance from the source sound by adjusting the delay between the direct sound and the first reflection heard by the listener. The smaller the value, the closer the sound source seems to the listener. The larger the value, the farther the apparent distance seems. For a small room, this parameter would be set to a small value, and for a large room, it would be set to a large value. Source Sound Early Reflections Level Level Level Time INIT.DLY Sound Source Time INIT.DLY INIT.DLY Time Reflection Face Small value = 1 ms Large value = 99 ms I ROOM SIZE [P. ROOM SIZE for the presence sound field] Control Range 0.1 - 2.0 Function: Description: This parameter adjusts the apparent size of the surround sound field. The larger the value, the larger the surround sound field becomes. As the sound is repeatedly reflected around a room, the larger the hall is, the longer the time between the original reflected sound and the subsequent reflections. By controlling the time between the reflected sounds, you can change the apparent size of the virtual venue. Changing this parameter from one to two, doubles the apparent length of the room. Function:
This parameter adjusts the apparent size of the surround sound field. The larger the value, the larger the

Description:
As the sound is repeatedly reflected around a room, the larger the hall is, the longer the time between
the original reflected sound and the subsequent reflections. By controlling the time between the
