Chapter 17 Routing Table Table 62 System Monitor > Routing Table (continued) LABEL DESCRIPTION Flag This indicates the route status. U-Up: The route is up. !-Reject: The route is blocked and will force a route lookup to fail. G-Gateway: The route uses a gateway to forward traffic. H-Host: The target of the route is a host. R-Reinstate: The route is reinstated for dynamic routing. D-Dynamic (redirect): The route is dynamically installed by a routing daemon or redirect. Metric Interface M-Modified (redirect): The route is modified from a routing daemon or redirect. The metric represents the "cost of transmission." A router determines the best route for transmission by choosing a path with the lowest "cost." The smaller the number, the lower the "cost."
