Chapter 28 Troubleshooting The Internet connection is slow or intermittent. 1 There might be a lot of traffic on the network. If the Zyxel Device is sending or receiving a lot of information, try closing some programs that use the Internet, especially peer-to-peer applications. 2 Check the signal strength. Look at the LEDs, and check the LED section for more information. If the signal strength is low, try moving the Zyxel Device closer to the ISP's base station if possible, and look around to see if there are any devices that might be interfering with the wireless network (for example, microwaves, other wireless networks, and so on). 3 Turn the Zyxel Device off and on. 4 If the problem continues, contact the network administrator or vendor, or try the advanced suggestion (refer to I cannot see or access the Login screen in the Web Configurator in this chapter). Note: Since your Zyxel Device is an outdoor-type, inclement weather like rain and hot weather may affect LTE signals. 28.5 UPnP When using UPnP and the Zyxel Device reboots, my computer cannot detect UPnP and refresh My Network Places > Local Network. 1 Make sure that UPnP is enabled in your computer. For Windows 7, see Section 7.6 on page 84. For Windows 10, see Section 7.7 on page 87. 2 Make sure that UPnP is enabled in the Network Settings > Home Networking > UPnP screen. See Section 7.4 on page 82 for details. 3 Disconnect the Ethernet cable from the Zyxel Device's Ethernet port or from your computer. 4 Re-connect the Ethernet cable. The Local Area Connection icon for UPnP disappears in the screen. Restart your computer. I cannot open special applications such as white board, file transfer and video when I use the MSN Messenger. Chapter 28 Troubleshooting
LTE Series User’s Guide
185
The Internet connection is slow or intermittent.
1
There might be a lot of traffic on the network. If the Zyxel Device is sending or receiving a lot of
information, try closing some programs that use the Internet, especially peer-to-peer applications.
2
Check the signal strength. Look at the LEDs, and check the LED section for more information. If the signal
strength is low, try moving the Zyxel Device closer to the ISP’s base station if possible, and look around to
see if there are any devices that might be interfering with the wireless network (for example,
microwaves, other wireless networks, and so on).
3
Turn the Zyxel Device off and on.
4
If the problem continues, contact the network administrator or vendor, or try the advanced suggestion
(refer to
I cannot see or access the
Login
screen in the Web Configurator
in this chapter).
Note: Since your
Zyxel Device is an outdoor-type, inclement weather like rain and hot weather may
affect LTE signals.
28.5
UPnP
When using UPnP and the Zyxel Device reboots, my computer cannot detect UPnP and refresh
My Network Places > Local Network
.
1
Make sure that UPnP is enabled in your computer. For Windows 7, see
Section 7.6 on page 84
. For
Windows 10, see
Section 7.7 on page 87
.
2
Make sure that UPnP is enabled in the
Network Settings
>
Home Networking
>
UPnP
screen. See
Section
7.4 on page 82
for details.
3
Disconnect the Ethernet cable from the Zyxel Device’s Ethernet port or from your computer.
4
Re-connect the Ethernet cable.
The
Local Area Connection
icon for UPnP disappears in the screen.
Restart your computer.
I cannot open special applications such as white board, file transfer and video when I use the
MSN Messenger.
