Chapter 25 Firmware Upgrade The following table describes the labels in this screen. Table 77 Maintenance > Firmware Upgrade LABEL DESCRIPTION Upgrade Firmware Use these fields to upload firmware to the Zyxel Device. Restore Default Settings After Firmware Upgrade Click to enable this option that restores the factory-default to the Zyxel Device after upgrading the firmware. Note: Make sure to backup the Zyxel Device's configuration settings first in case the restore to factory-default process is not successful. Refer to Section 26.2 on page 177. Current Firmware This is the present firmware version. Version File Path Type in the location of the file you want to upload in this field or click Choose File/Browse to find it. Choose File/ Browse Click this to find the .bin file you want to upload. Remember that you must decompress compressed (.zip) files before you can upload them. Upload Click this to begin the upload process. This process may take up to three minutes. After you see the firmware updating screen, wait a few minutes before logging into the Zyxel Device again. The Zyxel Device automatically restarts in this time causing a temporary network disconnect. In some operating systems, you may see the following icon on your desktop. Figure 130 Network Temporarily Disconnected After two minutes, log in again and check your new firmware version in the Status screen. If the upload was not successful, an error screen will appear. After you see the firmware updating screen, wait a few minutes before logging into the Zyxel Device
again.
The Zyxel Device automatically restarts in this time causing a temporary network disconnect. In some
