When the key is in the ignition in the RUN position, the power sliding door will only open if the transaxle is in PARK (PI. The transaxle does not have to be in PARK (P) to close the door. If the ON/OFF switch is in the ON position and the power sliding door is open or inthe process of closing wh'enyou shift out of PARK (P), a buzzer will sound and the sliding door lighton your instrument panel will flash (see "Power Sliding Door Warning Light" in the Index ). This is a warning that the sliding dooris not completely closed. To open or closethe sliding door, press and release one of two PWR DOOR switches. One is mounted on the wall, just in front of the sliding door. The other switch is located between the reading lamps on compact the overhead console. If you have theoptional overhead console, the other switch is on the side of the overhead console, in the rear-most position. The sliding door must be unlocked for it to operate. The key does not have to be in the ignition. To help avoid accidental operation of the sliding door, disable the power sliding door by placing the power sliding door ON/OFF switch in the OFF position. If you shift the transaxle outof PARK (P) and accelerate before the power sliding door latches closed, the doormay reverse to the open position. A child or others could fall outthe vehicle and of be injured. Alwaysmake sure the power sliding door is closed and latched before you drive away. 2-14

To
open or
closethe sliding door, press and release one
of
two
PWR
DOOR
switches. One
is
mounted on the
wall, just in front
of
the sliding door. The other switch is
located between the
reading
lamps
on
the compact
overhead console.
If
you have
theoptional overhead
console, the other switch is on the side
of
the overhead
console, in the rear-most position.
The
sliding
door
must
be
unlocked for it
to
operate.
The
key
does not have
to
be
in
the
ignition.
To
help avoid
accidental operation
of
the sliding door, disable the
power sliding door
by
placing
the
power sliding door
ON/OFF
switch in
the
OFF
position.

).
This is a warning that the
sliding
door
is not
completely closed.
If
you
shift
the
transaxle
out
of
PARK
(P)
and
accelerate
before
the
power
sliding
door
latches
closed,
the
door
may
reverse
to
the
open
position.
A child
or
others
could
fall
out
of
the
vehicle
and
be
injured.
Always
make
sure
the
power
sliding
door
is
closed
and
latched
before
you
drive
away.
