Creating and Modifying Pools Changing the Controller Cache Settings for a Pool For each pool, you can use Adaptec Storage Manager to enable or disable the read and write cache of the RAID controller installed in your iSCSI Storage Appliance. Enabling or Disabling the Controller Write Cache Caution Before you change a cache setting, be sure that you fully understand the implications of the new setting. To enable or disable the controller write cache settings for a pool: 1 In the Enterprise View, select the iSCSI Storage Appliance you want. 2 In the Logical Devices View, select the pool you want. 3 In the Actions menu, select Configure write cache, then select either Enabled or Disabled. 4 Click Yes to change the cache setting. When the pool is deleted, any data or programs stored on that pool are also deleted. Changing the Controller Cache Settings for a Pool
For each pool, you can use Adaptec Storage Manager to enable or disable the read
and write cache of the RAID controller installed in your iSCSI Storage Appliance.
Enabling or Disabling the Controller Write Cache
Caution
Before you change a cache setting, be sure that you fully understand the
implications of the new setting.
To enable or disable the controller write cache settings for a pool:

In the Enterprise View, select the iSCSI Storage Appliance you want.

In the Logical Devices View, select the pool you want.
