iSCSI Configuration for Microsoft Windows 8 Click the plus sign, then type in the IP address of the target portal. 9 Leaving the iSCSI Name field blank will force discovery of all available targets. Or you can double-click the iSCSI Name field and type in an iSCSI name of a target. Then click Save Target Settings and provide the password when asked to connect to the target(s). Click Notes The Target Settings tab shown above offers several options: • Click the Auto-bind discovered Targets button. All discovered targets will be bound to the Initiator port • Click to put a check in the Bind box. The Initiator will access the bound targets even after the adapter is reset or the server is rebooted. • Click to put a check in the Enable Target box. The Initiator will log on to enabled targets when Refresh or Save Settings is clicked. • A check will automatically appear in the Dynamic box once Discovery is run and the target will be saved into the flash memory. For example, to log off some targets but retain their information, uncheck the Enable Target box next to these targets, and then click Save Settings. Or, if you want to remove a target, uncheck the Bind box next to it, and then click Save Settings. 10 When a dialog to refresh target status displays, click Yes to see the updated target status. The QLogic Initiator, by default, will try to log onto all targets simultaneously. Appendix A Configuring iSCSI Initiators 167
