You can right-click a file and select Explore to open the parent folder of the file in Windows Explorer. Copy Copies the selected file or folder to the Clipboard. Paste Pastes the copied file or folder to the shared location. Delete Select Delete from the right-click menu to delete a file or a folder. Rename Right-click a file or folder and select Rename to rename a file or a folder. Copy to Project folder Copies the selected files to the project root folder. Note: You must have the project open to copy the files to the project root folder. Export Select Export from the right-click options of a file or folder to export to the selected folder in the Export Resource Files dialog box. Import (Folder) Imports one or more files into the selected folder. Properties Displays the properties of the selected file or folder. Manage linked resources Linked resources are shared resources used in a project. When you use a shared resource in a project, RoboHelp adds a copy of the shared resource in the project. However, it maintains a link with the shared location to track whether the master copy is updated. Deleting the master copy from the shared location does not delete the copy of the resource used in the project. 1 Do one of the following: • Select Edit > Linked Resources. • Select View > Pods > Resource Manager. Click Manage Linked Resources. 2 Do any of the following: Search Searches linked resources in the project based on specified criteria. A linked resource can have one of the following statuses: • In sync The original shared resource and the copy used in the project are same. • Modified in the shared location The original shared resource is modified, and the copy used in the project is out-of sync. • Modified in the project The copy used in the project is modified. Note: In Project Manager and Resource Manager, resources used in the project appear with icons that indicate if the resources are in sync or out of sync. Last updated 7/13/2012

Explore
Right-click a folder and select Explore to open the folder in Windows Explorer. You can right-click a file
and select Explore to open the parent folder of the file in Windows Explorer.
Copy
Copies the selected file or folder to the Clipboard.
Paste
Pastes the copied file or folder to the shared location.
Delete
Select Delete from the right-click menu to delete a file or a folder.
Rename
Right-click a file or folder and select Rename to rename a file or a folder.
Copy to Project folder
Copies the selected files to the project root folder.
Note:
You must have the project open to copy the files to the project root folder.
Export
Select Export from the right-click options of a file or folder to export to the selected folder in the Export
Resource Files dialog box.
Import
(Folder) Imports one or more files into the selected folder.
Properties
Displays the properties of the selected file or folder.
Manage linked resources
Linked resources are shared resources used in a project. When you use a shared resource in a project, RoboHelp adds
a copy of the shared resource in the project. However, it maintains a link with the shared location to track whether the
master copy is updated. Deleting the master copy from the shared location does not delete the copy of the resource
used in the project.

Do one of the following:
Select Edit > Linked Resources.
Select View > Pods > Resource Manager. Click Manage Linked Resources.

Do any of the following:
Search
Searches linked resources in the project based on specified criteria.
A linked resource can have one of the following statuses:
In sync
The original shared resource and the copy used in the project are same.
Modified in the shared location
The original shared resource is modified, and the copy used in the project is
out-of sync.
Modified in the project
The copy used in the project is modified.
Note:
In Project Manager and Resource Manager, resources used in the project appear with icons that indicate if the
resources are in sync or out of sync.
