4.3 Handset Speakerphone During a call, you can press to alternate between hands-free speakerphone and normal handset use. 4.4 Adjust the volume There are 5 levels to choose from for each of the earpiece and speaker volumes. During a call, press to select from VOLUME 1 to VOLUME 5. The current setting is shown, and when you end the call, the setting will remain at the last selected level. 4.5 Mute/Unmute the microphone When the microphone is muted, the handset displays MUTE ON, and your caller cannot hear you. During a call, press /MUTE> to turn on/off the microphone. 4.6 Paging The paging feature enables you to locate a missing handset if the handset is in range and contains charged batteries. Press on the base station. All the registered handsets that are in range will produce the paging tone and show PAGING on the display for 60 seconds. You can stop the paging by pressing any key on any handset or on the base again. 4.7 Switching on/off If the handset is turned off, press and hold the button for more than 5 seconds to switch it on. The display will show SEARCHING for a short time until the handset finds the base. To turn the handset off, press and hold the button for more than 5 seconds in idle mode, until the display goes blank. ** You can switch the handset off and save battery charge, if the handset is not on the base or a charger pod and you do not want to use it for a while. Note: When the handset is OFF, it cannot be used for making calls including emergency calls. There will be no ringing during an incoming call. To answer a call, you will need to switch it back on and it may take some time for the handset to re-establish a radio link with the base unit. 13

4.3 Handset Speakerphone
During a call, you can press <TALK> to alternate between hands-free
speakerphone and normal handset use.
4.4 Adjust the volume
There are 5 levels to choose from for each of the earpiece and speaker
volumes.
During a call, press <UP/DOWN> to select from
