9-2. Draining the oil 9. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE Bed base 1. Remove the belt cover, and then gently tilt back the machine head. 2. Place the oil tank (1) against the underside of the table, and then remove the screw (2). 3. After the lubricating oil has been drained, make sure that the O-ring (3) is in the correct position, and then tighten the screw (2). 3969Q 9-3. Cleaning the control box air inlet port Use a vacuum cleaner to clean the filter in the air inlet port (2) of the control box (1) at least once a month. * If the machine is used while the air inlet port is blocked, the inside of the control box will overheat. When this happens, the overheating error code ("E40") will be displayed and you will not be able to operate the sewing machine. 9-4. Cleaning the eye guard 3970Q Wipe the eye guard clean with a soft cloth. Note: Do not use solvents such as kerosene or thinner to clean the eye guard. 2162Q HE-800A 70

. Draining the oil
1. Remove the belt cover, and then gently tilt back the
machine head.
2. Place the oil tank (1) against the underside of the
table, and then remove the screw (2).
3. After the lubricating oil has been drained, make sure
that the O-ring (3) is in the correct position, and then
tighten the screw (2).

. Cleaning the control box air inlet port
Use a vacuum cleaner to clean the filter in the air inlet
port (2) of the control box (1) at least once a month.
* If the machine is used while the air inlet port is
blocked, the inside of the control box will overheat.
When this happens, the overheating error code (“E-
40”) will be displayed and you will not be able to
operate the sewing machine.

. Cleaning the eye guard
Wipe the eye guard clean with a soft cloth.
Note:
Do not use solvents such as kerosene or thinner
to clean the eye guard.
