If the display shows the above message, it means the Drum Unit is near the end of its life. We recommend that you replace the Drum Unit with a new one before there is a noticeable deterioration in the print quality. ! Replacing the Drum Unit This printer can print upto 20,000 pages *1 with one Drum Unit. *1 At 5% coverage print (A4-Letter size). The actual number of printed pages may vary depending on the average type of print job and paper. ✒ Note There are many things that affect how long the drum unit lasts for, such as the temperature, humidity, type of paper, type of toner used, the number of pages in each print job and so on. Under ideal conditions, a drum unit will last for upto 20,000 pages. The actual number of pages that your drum will print may be significantly less than this estimate. Because we have no control over the many things that affect the actual drum life, we cannot guarantee a minimum number of pages that your drum will print. For best performance, only use genuine Brother toner. You should only use the printer in a clean, dust-free environment with suitable ventilation. 5-11
