7 Shift This key is used to access the "09" through "16" One Touch numbers. 8 Telephone Keys: Hook Lets you dial telephone and fax numbers without lifting the handset. Hold Lets you place calls on hold. Redial/Pause Re-dials the last number called. Also inserts a pause in autodial numbers. 9 Reports Accesses the Reports menu so you can select reports to print: Help List, Auto Dial, Fax Activity, Transmission Verification, and User Settings. 0 Dial Pad Use to dial phone and fax numbers and can be used as a keyboard for entering information into the machine. (For Canada only) The # key lets you switch the dialing type during a telephone call from PULSE to TONE. A Volume High/Low Keys Lets you adjust speaker, ring and handset volume. B Stop/Exit Stops a fax, cancels an operation or exits from function mode. C Fax Start Starts an operation (such as sending a fax). D Copy Keys: Options You can quickly and easily select temporary settings (for the next copy only). Enlarge Lets you enlarge copies depending upon the ratio you select. Reduce Lets you reduce copies depending upon the ratio you select. Copy Makes a copy. E Search/Speed Dial Lets you look up numbers stored in the dialing memory. Also lets you dial stored phone numbers by pressing a # and a two-digit number. F Broadcast You can use this key whenever you want to send faxes to many different locations (maximum of 166 locations) at once. G Fax Keys/LEDs: Resolution Indicator Lights These LEDs show the resolution mode you selected. Receive Mode Indicator Lights These LEDs show the receive mode you selected. Resolution Sets the resolution when you send a fax. Mode Select how the machine will handle incoming calls. 1-4 INTRODUCTION
