The file shown in figure HyperTerminal Send Text-File Example (p. 214) will send the string [2008:028:10:36:22]C to the CR1000. Use Notepad (Microsoft Windows utility) or some other text editor that will not place unexpected hidden characters in the file. The file is empty before use commences. Problem: An energy company has a large network of older CR510 dataloggers into which new CR1000 dataloggers are to be incorporated. The CR510 dataloggers are programmed to output data in the legacy Campbell Scientific Printable ASCII format, which satisfies requirements of the customer's dataacquisition system. The network administrator also prefers to synchronize the CR510 clocks from a central computer using the legacy Campbell Scientific C command. The CR510 datalogger is hard-coded to output Printable ASCII and 214
