When you install a new BC-11 Color BJ cartridge, follow these steps: 1. Make sure the cartridge holder is still in the center position. 2. Press the MENU button and then press the CLEANING button. t This tells the printer that a new black ink tank and a new color ink tank are installed and resets both the black and color ink gauges. When you install a new BCI-11 Color ink tank, follow these steps: 1. Make sure the cartridge holder is still in the center position. 2. Press the CLEANING button. t This tells the printer that a new color ink tank is installed and resets the color ink gauge. N Always reset the ink gauge after installing a new BJ cartridge or a new ink tank. If you do not perform this operation, the Low ink warning will not operate properly. The printer automatically estimates the amount of remaining ink by counting the number of ink ejections. When the printer runs low on black or color ink, the Bk or Color indicator starts to blink, indicating that your printer will run out of ink shortly. Make sure you have a new ink tank available. N If you replace a BJ cartridge or an ink tank with a used one, the printer will be incapable of estimating the amount of remaining ink. When you install a new BC-11 Color BJ cartridge, follow these steps:

Make sure the cartridge holder is still in the center position.
2.
Press the
MENU
button and then press the
CLEANING
button.
This tells the printer that a new black ink tank and a new color ink
tank are installed and resets both the black and color ink gauges.
When you install a new BCI-11 Color ink tank, follow these steps:

Make sure the cartridge holder is still in the center position.

This tells the printer that a new color ink tank is installed and
resets the color ink gauge.

Always reset the ink gauge after installing a new BJ cartridge or a new ink
tank. If you do not perform this operation, the Low ink warning will not
