ISO Speed/Gain ISO Speed/Gain Depending on the shooting conditions, you may want to adjust the brightness of the image. You can do so by changing the ISO speed or gain value to adjust the sensitivity of the sensor. You can also perform this function remotely using Browser Remote on a connected network device (A 170). 69 Operating modes: Available ISO speed and gain settings1 Increment2 Normal range [1 stop] 1604, 200, 400, 800, 1600, 3200, 6400, 12800, 25600 (1-stop increments) ISO speed [1/3 stop] (1/3-stop increments) 160, 200, 250, 320, 400, 500, 640, 800, 1000, 1250, 1600, 2000, 2500, 3200, 4000, 5000, 6400, 8000, 10000, 12800, 16000, 20000, 25600 [Normal] -2 dB4, 0 dB to 42 dB (3-dB increments) Gain [Fine] -2 dB to 42 dB (0.5-dB increments) Extended range3 100, 51200, 102400 100, 125, 32000, 40000, 51200, 64000, 80000, 102400 -6 dB, -3 dB, 45 dB to 54 dB 42.5 dB to 54 dB 1 The minimum sensitivity needed to obtain the recommended dynamic range is ISO 400 / 6 dB gain (when the [Gamma] setting in the custom picture file (A 133) is set to [Canon Log] or [Wide DR]) or ISO 800 / 12 dB gain (when it is set to [Canon Log 3]). 2 > [v " Camera Setup] > [ISO Increment] setting (ISO speed) or [Gain Increment] setting (gain). 3 Sensitivity settings that are outside the recommended range but can still be used by setting > [v " Camera Setup] > [ISO/Gain Extended Range] to [On]. 4 Available only when [ISO/Gain Extended Range] is set to [Off]. Changing the ISO Speed or Gain Value 1 Open the ISO speed/gain [ISO/Gain] submenu. > [v " Camera Setup] > [ISO/Gain] 2 Select [ISO] or [Gain] and then press the joystick. 3 Open the [ISO Increment] or [Gain Increment] submenu to select the adjustment increment to use when adjusting the ISO speed or gain, respectively. > [v " Camera Setup] > [ISO Increment] (ISO speed) > [v " Camera Setup] > [Gain Increment] (gain) 4 Select the desired option and then press the joystick. 5 After closing the menu, press the ISO/GAIN button to enter the direct setting mode with the ISO speed or gain value highlighted. • Select the desired value and then press the joystick. For details refer to Using the Direct Setting Mode (A 66). • You can also use the FUNC button and joystick to enter the direct setting mode. • The selected ISO speed/gain value will appear on the bottom of the screen.
