Cannot Print Properly through Wireless Communication
Note
This printer cannot print data from a PC via Bluetooth communication.
Possible Cause
Try This
The infrared
communication distance
or the Infrared Port angle
is incorrect
Place the printer at a distance of 7.9 inch/20 cm from the mobile
phone or the PDA.
Ensure that the Infrared Ports are at a proper angle and there are
no obstacles between them. Retry printing.
The allowable distance and angle for infrared communication
depend on the functions of the mobile phone or the PDA in addition
to environmental conditions.
See “Performing Infrared Communication” on page 53.
Your mobile phone or
PDA is not able to make a
suitable connection (For
Infrared Communication)
Use models equipped with an IrDA port and support image data
transmission via infrared communication.
The mobile phone or the
PDA is too far away from
the printer (For
Bluetooth
communication)
Place the mobile phone or the PDA within 33 feet (10m) of the
printer when attempting to print via a wireless communication.
The printer is installed in
an incorrect location (For
Bluetooth
communication)
You can establish a connection between a mobile phone or a PDA
and the printer up to a distance of approximately 33 feet/10m for
Bluetooth communication, however the following conditions may
affect both your ability to establish a connection and the
connection speed:
Obstructions or electric devices placed between the printer and
your mobile phone or PDA
Locations where magnetic fields, static electricity, or radio wave
interference are present
The sensitivity and antenna efficiency of your mobile phone or
PDA
Try changing the location of the printer or moving the mobile phone
or the PDA closer to the printer.
The device you are using
is compatible with a
different standard (For
Bluetooth
communication)
The printer cannot connect to devices that use a different standard
(profile) for printing, even if they are Bluetooth compliant. Refer to
the user’s manual of your mobile phone or PDA to see which
profiles it is compatible with.
You have not selected
the correct printer at
your mobile phone or
PDA (For Bluetooth
communication)
You can confirm the printer name at
Device name
in the
Bluetooth
settings
menu. Select the corresponding printer name at your
mobile phone or PDA.
