Maintenance Cartridge 9. Hold the Output Tray on both sides by the near end. Aligning the Output Tray with the guides (a), insert it into the printer until it locks in place. Initialization of the new Maintenance Cartridge takes about ve seconds, after which the printer returns to the mode before replacement of the Maintenance Cartridge. If Maint Cartridge / Replace Cart is displayed, printing is disabled. Make sure that the Maintenance Cartridge is installed correctly. If the printer was in Menu mode or an error message was shown on the Display Screen, the printer goes online. If a print job was in progress when the Maintenance Cartridge was replaced, printing is resumed. Important • Do not remove the Maintenance Cartridge during about the rst ve seconds after the printer goes back online. This may damage the Maintenance Cartridge. • If you replace the Maintenance Cartridge when the printer is off, do not remove the Maintenance Cartridge during about the rst ve seconds after you turn the printer on again after replacement. Maintenance Cartridge
