The readme file contains the operating system requirements, hardware and software prerequisites, last-minute changes, and known issues with CA ARCserve Backup. The readme file is provided in HTML format and is located at root level on the installation media. Installation Servers Compile a list of servers where you are installing CA ARCserve Backup and identify the following: ■ The names of the CA ARCserve Backup domains ■ The names of the servers where you are installing CA ARCserve Backup Note: CA ARCserve Backup server names and CA ARCserve Backup domain names cannot exceed 15 bytes. A name totaling 15 bytes equates to approximately 7 to 15 characters. ■ Determine the type of CA ARCserve Backup servers you are installing.
