Fabric OS thermal policies are based on a matrix of sensor values particular to each device. Different versions of Fabric OS may also have different thermal policies, as these limits are determined by testing and real-world experience. For all Brocade devices, fan speeds alter to accommodate temperature changes. As a general rule, devices in danger of overheating will be shut down after a two-minute warning.
