WARNING: To guard against electrical shock, always unplug your computer from the electrical outlet before removing the cover. WARNING: Do not operate your equipment with any cover(s) (including computer covers, bezels, filler brackets, front-panel inserts, etc.) removed. Removing the Support Bracket 1. Follow the procedures in Before You Begin. 2. Remove the computer cover (see Removing the Computer Cover). Inspiron™ 535s/537s a. Pull back the support bracket release latch and pivot the support bracket up. b. Lift the support bracket off the hinge tabs and set it aside in a secure place. 1 support bracket release latch 2 hinge tabs (2) 3 hinges (2) 4 support bracket Inspiron 545s/546s a. Remove the screw securing the card retention bracket. b. Push the card retention bracket towards the back of the computer. c. Pivot the support bracket up and lift it off the hinge tab. d. Set the support bracket aside in a secure location.
