Viewing and Clearing Stacking and NSF Information

NOTE: The OSPF feature uses NSF to enable the hardware to continue forwarding IPv4 packets using OSPF routes while a backup unit takes over responsibility as management unit in the stack. Additional NSF commands are available in OSPF and OSPFv3 command modes. For more information, see "NSF OSPF Configuration" on page 1242 and "NSF OSPFv3 Configuration" on page 1259 Viewing and Clearing Stacking and NSF Information Use the following commands to view stacking information and to clear NSF statistics. Command Purpose show switch [stackmember-number] View information about all stack members or the specified member. show switch stackstandby View the ID of the switch that will assume the role of the management unit in the stack if it goes down. show switch stack-ports View information about the stacking ports. show switch stack-ports View the statistics about the data the stacking ports have counters transmitted and received. show switch stack-ports View the path that packets take from one stack member to stack-path another. {|all} show supported switchtype [] View the Dell Networking models that are supported in the stack and the switch index (SID) associated with each model. The information may vary, depending on the loaded firmware (Adv/AdvLite). show nsf View summary information about the NSF state of the primary and standby switches. show checkpoint statistics View information about checkpoint messages generated by the management unit in the stack. clear checkpoint statistics Reset the checkpoint statistics counters to zero.
