Command Purpose dot1x timeout server- Set the time that the switch waits for a response from the timeout seconds authentication server. dot1x timeout tx-period Set the number of seconds that the switch waits for a seconds response to an Extensible Authentication Protocol (EAP)- request/identity frame from the client before resending the request. dot1x timeout quietperiod seconds Set the number of seconds that the switch remains in the quiet state following a failed authentication exchange (for example, the client provided an invalid password). dot1x timeout supptimeout seconds Set the time that the switch waits for a response before retransmitting an Extensible Authentication Protocol (EAP)-request frame to the client. dot1x max-req count Set the maximum number of times that the switch sends an Extensible Authentication Protocol (EAP)-request frame (assuming that no response is received) other than Request-Identity to the client before restarting the authentication process. dot1x max-reauth-req count Set the maximum number of times that the switch sends an Extensible Authentication Protocol (EAP)-Request Identify frame to client with no response before restarting the authentication process. authentication maxusers users Set the maximum number of clients supported on the port when 802.1X authentication is enabled on the port.
