2 Verifying proper operation TABLE 13 LED Desired and abnormal LED states after system power on (Continued) Desired state Meaning Abnormal state Meaning or action DC OK Green (steady) ALM ALM Power supplies DC The power supply is Off providing DC power to the BigIron RX Series chassis. The power supply is in Amber normal operating condition. The power supply is not supplying power to the chassis. If the AC OK LED is lit Green, then there is a problem with the power supply and it must be replaced. The power supply is malfunctioning. DC IN DC OUT ALM Green (steady) The power supply is Off receiving DC power from a DC power source. Green (steady) Off The power supply is Off providing DC power to the BigIron RX Series chassis. The power supply is in Amber normal operating condition. The power supply is not receiving power from a DC power source You can do the following: • Make sure that the power supply cables are connected securely to the power source and the power supply. • Make sure that the DC power source is 48 VDC @ 30 A (Operating voltage range is 40-60VDC). • Make sure that the power source has power. The power supply is not supplying power to the chassis. If the DC IN LED is lit Green, then there is a problem with the power supply and it must be replaced.
