Removing the 3-cell battery Prerequisites 1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer. 2. Remove the base cover. Peel the tape that secures the battery cable to the system board. 2. Disconnect the battery cable from the system board. 3. Remove the three (M2x3) screws that secure the 3-cell battery to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly. 4. Lift the 3-cell battery, along with its cable, off the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
