The setting screen for that rating type opens. 4 Press the number buttons to input your four-digit password, then press ENTER. The Parental Controls submenu opens. Note: The default password is 0000, and the superpassword is 9999. 7 Press or to highlight a rating, then press ENTER to enable or disable it. (A lock icon indicates that it is disabled). 8 Press MENU to close the on-screen menu. Locking control buttons You can lock the TV control panel on the right side of your TV/DVD combo. Turning closed captioning on or off To turn closed captioning on or off with the remote control: • Press the CCD button on the remote control repeatedly to select the CC Mode you want. You can select: • CC On-Turns on closed captioning • CC On Mute-Turns on closed captioning when the sound is muted. • CC Off-Turns off closed captioning.
