Cleaning discs Fingerprints and dust on the disc can cause poor picture quality and sound distortion. Before playing, clean the disc with a clean cloth. Wipe the disc from the center out. 4 Press or to select an option, then press or to select the option you prefer. 5 Press MENU to close the on-screen menu. Maintenance Cleaning • Before cleaning the screen, unplug your TV/DVD combo from the power outlet. • Clean your TV/DVD combo with a soft, dry cloth. If surfaces are extremely dirty, use a soft cloth dampened with a weak detergent solution. • Use an eyeglass cleaner to clean the screen. Never use alcohol, paint thinner, or benzine. • Before using a chemically treated cloth, read the instructions that came with the cloth. • Do not spray insecticide liquid near your TV/DVD combo. Such chemicals may cause damage and discoloration to the exposed surfaces. Care and handling of discs Handling discs Do not touch the playback side of the disc. Hold the disc by the edges so that fingerprints do not get on the surface. Never stick paper or tape on the disc. Storing discs After playing, store the disc in its case. Do not expose the disc to direct sunlight or sources of heat and never leave it in a parked car exposed to direct sunlight. Do not use strong solvents such as alcohol, benzine, thinner, commercially available cleaners, or anti-static spray intended for older vinyl records. Note: Never operate your TV/DVD combo immediately after moving it from a cold location to a warm location. Leave it for two or three hours without operating it. If you use your TV/DVD combo in such a situation, it may damage discs or internal parts. Servicing Do not try to repair your TV/DVD combo yourself. There are no user-serviceable parts inside. Turn off your TV/DVD combo, unplug the power cord, then contact an authorized service center. Troubleshooting Warning: Do not try to repair your TV/DVD combo yourself. Video and audio Problem Solution No picture or sound (the screen is not lit) Dark, poor, or no picture (the screen is lit), but sound is good No color, picture is dark, or color is not correct Only noise (snow) appears on the screen Picture has dotted lines or stripes Picture has double images • Make sure that the power cord is plugged into a power outlet. • Press (power) on your TV/DVD combo or the remote control. • Try another channel. The problem could be with the TV station. • Press INPUT to change inputs. • Adjust the brightness.
