The options on the ADVANCED CHIPSET SETUP screen are described in the following table. Note that the Setup program displays the possible settings for each option when the option is highlighted and you press the key. ADVANCED CHlPSET SETUP Options Option Function Power Management Function Enables or disables the power management functions: if enabled, you can set the next three counters Display Timeout Counter Enables or disables a timeout period for the LCD display; If enabled, and the LCD screen Is not accessed for the specified period of time. the computer goes Into Suspend mode HDD Timeout Counter Enables or disables a timeout period for the hard disk drive; if enabled, and the hard disk drive Is not accessed for the specified period of time, the computer goes Into Suspend mode System Timeout Counter Enables or disables a tlmeout period for the system; if enabled, and the system is not accessed for the specified period of time. the computer goes into Suspend mode Highlight the option you want to change and press to see what timeout periods are available. If you do not use the keyboard for the specified amount of time, the computer turns off the LCD screen, hard disk drive, or the entire system to save battery power.
