5 Introduction Caution: Do not touch the lens; it can be easily scratched. Avoid touching the white surface of the tile and backing plates. The Epson SpectroProofer™ is an optional in-line color measuring system that can be installed on the Epson Stylus® Pro 7900 and 9900 printers. When driven by the latest software RIP front-ends, the SpectroProofer can automate virtually any color management process in your workflow. Follow the instructions in this guide to install the SpectroProofer in your printer. This guide also provides maintenance and troubleshooting information. Once you've set up the SpectroProofer, follow the instructions that came with your color measuring software to use the equipment. Handling and Product Information Exercise care when handling the spectrophotometer, calibration tile, and backing plates. If they become scratched or soiled, your color measurements may be affected.
