Converged Enhanced Ethernet on the HP ProCurve 6120XG Switch CEE Network Example QoS Quality of Service-Manages the bandwidth and priority scheme so the network can deliver expected traffic loads and forward packets in the expected order of priority. TG Traffic Class Group-a grouping that contains 802.1p priorities. The traffic group is mapped to a switch port egress queue and has the attributes TGID, lossless, and priorities. TGID Traffic class Group Identifier-Identifier for a Traffic Group. Exchanged by peers in DCBX TLVs only. TLV Type, Length, Value-Describes a field within a number of protocols in which value is preceded by a unique type, along with length. CEE Network Example The figure below illustrates an example network configuration for CEE. The Fibre Channel network requires an uplink Fibre Channel Forwarder (FCF) switch between the HP ProCurve 6120XG switch and the network. Only one hop is allowed between the CNA and the FCF switch. The Converged Network Adapter (CNA) sends both Ethernet and Fibre Channel traffic over the FCoE connection. 6-5
