Initial configuration with replication blackout window set
There is improvement in some backup job performance e.g. Share 1 DIR2 & Share 2 SQL data, but replication
jobs can only run 4 at a time (2502 concurrent source replication limit).
Using V2.1 code and higher
Housekeeping can now be scheduled to be run for 2 periods every 24 hours AND the housekeeping process
runs faster.
Housekeeping windows can be configured but should still be monitored to check that the housekeeping load is
not growing overall day by day.
Site E, data center
At Site E we have replication jobs from A and D, and from B and C as well as local backups.
Replication jobs also trigger housekeeping at the target site.
The replication window is set to 24 hours.
The concurrency level of the target is 24.
Addition of replication window allows us to
force replication activities to only happen
outside of the backup window. Housekeeping
still happens when backup is complete and
cannot be stopped.
