Source Appliance Permissions It is a good practice to use the Source Appliance Permissions functionality provided on the Replication Partner Appliances tab to prevent malicious or accidental configuration of replication mappings from unknown or unauthorized source appliances. See the D2D Backup System user guide for information on how to configure Source Appliance Permissions. Note the following changes to replication functionality when Source Appliance Permissions are enabled: Source appliances will only have visibility of, and be able to create mappings with, libraries and shares that they have already been given permission to access. Source appliances will not be able to create new libraries and shares as part of the replication wizard process, instead these shares and libraries must be created ahead of time on the target appliance. 66
