7 Product creation It explains product creation. Flats, products without a fold This section provides the steps to define Ticket Templates for DFE Imposition for flat products, such as cards or book blocks. However, the general Imposition and printing order guidelines are the same for all three workflow scenarios mentioned in the previous section. In the following example, the requested Horizon SmartStacker output will be: ● Page (face) up ● Page number 1 on top DFE definitions The following steps and settings in the DFE are required in order to have a pile of duplexed cards or books exit the Horizon SmartStacker face up, with page 1 on top. 1. Set Imposition Template to 1_up. 2. Apply Spread and/or Page rotation as necessary. 3. Automatic step and repeat: Mark the check box or manually specify the number of rows and columns. 4. Distribute: a. Select by Pages. b. Click the top left origin circle and then the down arrow. The following figure shows the required distribution direction to achieve page 1 on top of the pile at the SmartStacker exit, facing up. 5. Define Bleed and Gutters & Gap as necessary. NOTE: You can define the gutters manually or let the DFE calculate the best value automatically by selecting the Automatic gutters and gaps check box. 6. This section provides the steps to define Ticket Templates for DFE Imposition for flat products, such as
cards or book blocks. However, the general Imposition and printing order guidelines are the same for all
three workflow scenarios mentioned in the previous section.
In the following example, the requested Horizon SmartStacker output will be:
