Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer. 3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer. 4. Remove the following components: a. Base enclosure (see Base enclosure on page 38) b. Battery (see Battery on page 31) Remove the SSD: 1. Remove the Phillips screw (1) that secures the SSD to the system board. 2. Remove the SSD (2) by pulling the drive away from the slot at an angle. Reverse this procedure to install the SSD. Before removing the SSD, follow these steps:

1.
Remove the Phillips screw

that secures the SSD to the system board.
2.
Remove the SSD
(2)
by pulling the drive away from the slot at an angle.
Reverse this procedure to install the SSD.
