WLAN module Description WLAN RT Cartier AC 2 x 2 Spare part number 924813-855 Before removing the WLAN module, follow these steps: 1. Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer. 3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer. 4. Remove the following components: a. Base enclosure (see Base enclosure on page 38) b. Battery (see Battery on page 31) c. Heat sink (see Heat sink with fan on page 42) d. System board (see System board on page 47) Remove the WLAN module: NOTE: The WLAN module is located under the system board. The system board must be removed to remove the WLAN module. 1. Disconnect the WLAN antenna cables (1) from the terminals on the WLAN module. NOTE: The cables should already be disconnected before removing the system board. 2. Remove the Phillips screw (2) that secures the WLAN module to the system board. (The WLAN module tilts up.) 3. Remove the WLAN module (3) by pulling the module away from the slot at an angle. Before removing the WLAN module, follow these steps:

Remove the WLAN module:
NOTE:
The WLAN module is located under the system board. The system board must be removed to remove
the WLAN module.
1.
Disconnect the WLAN antenna cables
(1)
from the terminals on the WLAN module.
NOTE:
The cables should already be disconnected before removing the system board.
2.
Remove the Phillips screw
