Speakers NOTE: The speaker spare part kit includes the cable. Description Speaker Kit (includes right and left speakers) Spare part number 940616-001 IMPORTANT: Make special note of each screw and screw lock size and location during removal and replacement. Before removing the speakers, follow these steps: 1. Shut down the computer. 2. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer. 3. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer. 4. Remove the following components: a. Base enclosure (see Base enclosure on page 38) b. Battery (see Battery on page 31) Remove the speakers: 1. Carefully disconnect the speaker connector (1) from the system board. 2. Remove the two Phillips screws (2). 3. Release the display cable from the routing channels (3). 4. Lift the left and right speakers (4) to remove them. Reverse this procedure to install the speakers. Component replacement procedures 45
