Connector board Description Spare part number Connector board (includes audio jack and USB port) NOTE: The connector board spare part kit does not include the audio jack cable or the USB port cable. The audio jack cable is available using spare part number 841547-001. The USB port cable is available using spare part number 841548-001. 841558-001 Before removing the connector board, follow these steps: 1. Shut down the slate. If you are unsure whether the slate is off or in Hibernation, turn the slate on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the slate. 3. Disconnect the power from the slate by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then unplugging the AC adapter from the slate. 4. Disconnect the slate from the keyboard/base. 5. Remove the display panel assembly (see Display panel assembly on page 22). Remove the connector board: 1. Remove the three Philllips PM2.0×3.8 screws (1) that secure the connector board to the display back cover. 2. Remove the connector board bracket (2). The connector board bracket is available using spare part number 841558-001. 3. Release the connector board (3) by sliding the board to the left. 4. Swing the connector board (4) up and to the left until the bottom of the board is accessible. 34 Chapter 5 Slate removal and replacement procedures

Before removing the connector board, follow these steps:
1.

3.

Remove the connector board:
1.

3.
Release the connector board

by sliding the board to the left.
4.
Swing the connector board
