Wireless antenna Description Wireless antenna (includes left and right cables and transceivers and double-sided adhesive) Spare part number 841542-001 Before removing the wireless antenna, follow these steps: 1. Shut down the slate. If you are unsure whether the slate is off or in Hibernation, turn the slate on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the slate. 3. Disconnect the power from the slate by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then unplugging the AC adapter from the slate. 4. Disconnect the slate from the keyboard/base. 5. Remove the display panel assembly (see Display panel assembly on page 22), and then remove the following components: a. WLAN module (see WLAN module on page 30) b. Solid-state drive (see Solid-state drive on page 32, select models only) c. System board (see System board on page 36) Remove the wireless antenna: 1. Detach the wireless antenna transceivers (1) from the display back cover. (The wireless antenna transceivers are attached to the display back cover with double-sided adhesive.) 2. Release the wireless antenna cables from the retention clips (2) built into the display back cover. 3. Remove the wireless antenna (3). 42 Chapter 5 Slate removal and replacement procedures

Before removing the wireless antenna, follow these steps:
