Hard drive cable Description Hard Drive Hardware Kit (includes cable, cover, and screws) Spare part number 732279-001 Before removing the hard drive cable, follow these steps: 1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer. 3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer. 4. Disconnect the tablet from the keyboard dock (see Releasing the tablet from the keyboard dock on page 32). 5. Remove the base enclosure (see Base enclosure on page 33. 6. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 37. 7. Remove the hinge assembly (see Hinge assembly on page 36. To remove the hard drive cable: 1. Postion the HDMI board upside down. 2. Pull the hard drive cable straight up to disconnect it from the connector on the HDMI board. Before removing the hard drive cable, follow these steps:
1.
Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn
the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2.

3.

To remove the hard drive cable:
1.
Postion the HDMI board upside down.
2.
Pull the hard drive cable straight up to disconnect it from the connector on the HDMI board.
Reverse this procedure to install the hard drive cable.
