Turning on or off Aeroplane mode Your phone's signal reception or transmission may interfere with an Aeroplane's flight system. Power off your phone or switch to Aeroplane mode as required when you are on a flight. In Aeroplane mode, your phone's wireless features are disabled, but you can still listen to music or play games using your phone. Use either of the following methods to turn on or turn off Aeroplane mode:  Flick down from the status bar to open the notification panel.
