POST error codes The following table lists error codes that might be sent to the management module for error logging as BMC pass-through error entries for the management module system-error log (SEL). Note: The syntax of error logging between the management module and the SEL might be different. Local SEL error codes might differ from the SEL entries logged by the management module for identical event types. In the following error codes, X can be any number or letter. Note: See Chapter 7, "Parts listing, Type 8839," on page 105 to determine which components should be replaced by a field service technician. Error code/symptom FRU/action 0000 (Timer error) 1. Run diagnostics. 2. Battery. 3. I/O board. 0005 (CMOS checksum bad loading defaults) Information only; no action required. 0012 (CMOS date/time not set) Run the Configuration/Setup Utility program, and set the date and time. 0040 (Refresh timer test failed) 1.
