Open the Load Plate as shown. Figure 31. Installing Processor - Open the Load Plate 3. Install the Processor. Take the processor out of the box and remove the protective shipping cover. Align the processor with the socket so that the orientation notches on the processor align with the two orientation posts on the socket (see letter A). Note the location of the gold key at the corner of the processor (see letter B). Figure 32. Installing Processor - Install the Processor Note: The underside of the processor has components that may damage the socket pins if installed improperly.
