This is set by individually selecting blocks that appear in the Edit window. Once finished with the settings, press the [OK] button. The Edit window closes. Then press the [OK] button on the [Camera] page. The settings are saved. A Photometry area settings B Preview C Undo D Clear Mask In the Back Light Compensation Area Edit window, the photometry area can be set to either the aspect ratio of 16:9 with 15 horizontal rows and 9 vertical columns or the aspect ratio of 4:3, with 11 horizontal rows and 9 vertical columns. Left click areas to prevent them from being measured due to strong light sources, etc. The block becomes slightly blue and its light intensity will not be measured. Right clicking areas which are not measured (areas of blue blocks) returns them to the normal color and they become areas to be measured. Press this button to check the results of the photometry area settings. When the previewed results are not satisfactory, press this button to return the area settings to the previous designations. Press this button to the clear photometry area settings. All masks will be released and the entire area will become a photometry area. Note: ● Pressing OK after setting photometry areas in the Back Light Compensation Area Edit window closes the Edit window, but if the [OK] button is not pressed on the [Camera] page, the contents of the settings changed in the Back Light Compensation Area Edit window are not saved. Be sure to press the [OK] button after making settings changes. ● After changing settings on the [Camera] page, if the Back Light Compensation Area Edit window is opened, the camera image is displayed with the changed settings. However, as the settings have not been saved, after closing the edit window, check the settings and press the [OK] button to save the settings. ● When the aspect ratio is changed on the [Encoding] page, the photometry area settings on the Back Light Compensation Area Edit window return to the factory settings. Open the Edit window, reconfigure the area settings and save. ● Narrowing the photometry area may reduce sensitivity of tampering detection. When using tampering detection, check tampering detection after changing photometry area settings. 26

Back Light Compensation Area Edit

Set the photometry area to match the subject. This is set by individually selecting blocks that appear in
the Edit window. Once finished with the settings, press the [OK] button. The Edit window closes. Then
press the [OK] button on the [Camera] page. The settings are saved.
Note:
Pressing OK after setting photometry areas in the Back Light Compensation Area Edit window
closes the Edit window, but if the [OK] button is not pressed on the [Camera] page, the contents of
the settings changed in the Back Light Compensation Area Edit window are not saved. Be sure to
press the [OK] button after making settings changes.
After changing settings on the [Camera] page, if the Back Light Compensation Area Edit window is
opened, the camera image is displayed with the changed settings. However, as the settings have
not been saved, after closing the edit window, check the settings and press the [OK] button to save
the settings.
When the aspect ratio is changed on the [Encoding] page, the photometry area settings on the Back
Light Compensation Area Edit window return to the factory settings. Open the Edit window,
reconfigure the area settings and save.
Narrowing the photometry area may reduce sensitivity of tampering detection. When using
tampering detection, check tampering detection after changing photometry area settings.
