Administrator Operations 2 2.24 2.24.1 Setting PC-FAX receiving You can set whether or not to use PC-FAX receive function when the optional hard disk is mounted. Setting PC-FAX receive When the function to be used, set the following contents. Item Receiving User Box Destination Print Password Check Explanation Received data is output or input to forced memory inbox or specified box. [Specified User Box] is selected, the data is stored at the box whose number is assigned with F code Sub address. It is set whether or not to print after receiving data. It can set password check/communication password (within 8 digits). ! Detail When Dial-in is set ON, [Dial-in only] is appeared after [Allow]. PC-FAX receiving setting cam be made only when the data is received with dial-in number. FAX input data is saved to the box as TIFF. When a user [Specified User Box] set at when data is sent out, the received data will be saved at print or forced memory inbox according to the conditions set for FAX receiving. Also when a new box is assigned with the same box number after [Specified User Box] is deleted, the data will be saved at the newly assigned inbox, Therefore you should be careful with the number assigned. 501/421/361 2-114

You can set whether or not to use PC-FAX receive function when the optional hard disk is mounted.

Setting PC-FAX receive
<From the Control Panel>
When the function to be used, set the following contents.

Detail
When Dial-in is set ON, [Dial-in only] is appeared after [Allow]. PC-FAX receiving setting cam be made
only when the data is received with dial-in number.
FAX input data is saved to the box as TIFF.
When a user [Specified User Box] set at when data is sent out, the received data will be saved at print
or forced memory inbox according to the conditions set for FAX receiving. Also when a new box is
assigned with the same box number after [Specified User Box] is deleted, the data will be saved at the
newly assigned inbox, Therefore you should be careful with the number assigned.
