Basic Operation Notes • For details on selecting the paper size and media type to be used in the cassette and MP tray, refer to Chapter 1 Advanced Operation Guide, Copying Functions. • You can change the default setting for which cassette will be automatically selected. For details, refer to Chapter 5 Advanced Operation Guide, System Settings. Paper Select: * A 4 Plain A 5 Plain MP Tray Cancel 4 Press the Original Quality key. The Original Quality screen is displayed. 5 Press the S key or the T key to select the desired mode and press the Enter key. The message display returns to the basic screen. Original Quality: *Text+Photo Photo Text Cancel Mode Text+Photo (text and photo mode) Photo (photo mode) Text (text mode) Description Select for originals containing a mixture of both text and photographs. Select for originals containing mostly photographs. Select for originals containing mostly text. Note To adjust the default copy exposure in each of the image quality modes, refer to Chapter 1 Advanced Operation Guide, Copying Functions. You can also select which image quality mode will be the default setting in the initial mode, refer to Chapter 5 Advanced Operation Guide, System Settings for details. 6 The copy exposure can be adjusted either automatically or manually. This machine is initially set for manual exposure adjustment, Normally no need for you to adjust the copy exposure.
