MaintenanceImportant Important 2 After cleaning, make sure you restore the charger cleaner to its home position. If the charger cleaner is not restored to the CLEANER HOME POSITION, a black band will appear on subsequent copies. Use the cleaning cloth that is supplied with the new toner kit to wipe off any paper dust and dirt that has (B) accumulated on the metal registration roller (A) inside the machine. (A) Important 3 While cleaning, be careful to avoid touching the black transfer roller (B). After cleaning is finished, align the pins (C) on both sides of the process unit with the guides inside the machine, and slide the process unit slowly back into its original position in the machine until in stops. (C) (C) 4 Close the front cover. 5 Close the top cover. 6 When the toner container is replaced, reset the toner gauge. For details, refer to Chapter 5 in Advanced Operation Guide, Resetting Toner Status. After use, always dispose of the toner container in accordance with local rules and regulations. 6-5
