Appendix TWAIN (Technology Without Any Interested Name) A technological standard for connecting computers and image input devices such as scanners and digital cameras. Images from a TWAIN-compliant device can be imported into any TWAIN-compliant software application. TWAIN functionality is included in Adobe Photoshop and many other graphic editing applications, and many OCR applications.
