Creating a Share from a USB Key To automatically create a share from a USB key, just connect the USB key to a USB port on the back of the 2big Network and push the big blue button on the front of the drive. The following things will happen: ❖ A new share will be created on the 2big (Fig. 3.6.2). The share gets its name from the USB key. You can rename the share at any time. ❖ All data on the USB key will be copied to the new share. When you disconnect the USB key from the 2big the data will still be available because it has been copied to the 2big. note: Shares created with 1-click data sharing (USB keys) are different from shares created by attaching exernal storage devices like USB hard drives. When a share is created by attaching a USB hard drive, the drive must be connected at all times for its data to be accessible.
