Map a Drive with Ethernet Agent (Windows) For faster time connections and usability, LaCie recommends that you map shares on your 2big Network as drives on your computer. To map a drive: 1. Start LaCie Ethernet Agent 2. Click on the Ethernet Agent icon in the task bar and select LaCie-2big > Map a drive (Fig. 4.2-A). The Map a drive window opens (Fig. 4.2-B). 3. Select a share to map from the menu. 4. Click OK. 5. The share appears under Network Drive in My computer (Fig. 4.2-C). Figure 4.2-A Technical note: Windows Me Users - To access your shares under Windows Me, the administrator will need to create a user with the same username and password as your log in for Windows. This is due to a limitation in Microsoft's operating system. Accessing Shared Storage
4.2. Map a Drive with Ethernet Agent (Windows)
For faster time connections and usability, LaCie rec-
ommends that you map shares on your 2big Network as
drives on your computer. To map a drive:
Start LaCie Ethernet Agent
Click on the Ethernet Agent icon in the task bar and
select
LaCie-2big > Map a drive
(Fig. 4.2-A).
°e Map a drive window opens (Fig. 4.2-B).
Select a share to map from the menu.
Click
OK
.
