Understanding the printer menus Use Quiet Mode Off On Run Initial Setup Yes No Paper Sizes US Metric Alarms Alarm Control Cartridge Alarm Timeouts Sleep Mode Disabled 1-60 74 To Reduce the amount of noise produced by the printer. Notes: • Off is the factory default setting. This setting supports the performance specifications of your printer. • On configures the printer to produce as little noise as possible. • Setting Quiet Mode to Off allows for optimal printing of color- rich documents. Run the setup wizard. Notes: • Yes is the factory default setting. • When the setup wizard is complete, the default setting becomes No. Specify the default paper measurement. Notes: • US is the factory default setting. • The initial setting is determined by your country or region selection in the initial setup wizard. Set an alarm to sound when the printer requires user intervention. Available options for each alarm type are: Off Single Continuous Notes: • Single is the factory default setting. This sets the alarm as three quick beeps. • Off means no alarm will sound. • Single sounds three quick beeps. • Continuous repeats three beeps every 10 seconds. Specify the number of minutes of inactivity before the printer enters a reduced power state. Notes: • 30 is the factory default setting. • Disabled appears only when Energy Conserve is set to Off.
